I started singing at an early age, but never pursued it much since I was so heavily involved in playing instruments. The first choir I was ever in was actually the MTC Choir, where I sang Tenor. During my Mission to Mexico, since I didn't have many instruments at my disposal, I learned: Piano, Organ, and Voice (during P-Days while all the other Missionaries were playing basketball or soccer). After my Mission I sang in various Ward and Stake Choirs, where I sang Bass. In 2002 I started taking voice lessons from Carol Keddington. During 2005 I had the wonderful opportunity of joining The Utah Light Opera Company (founded in 2005 by: David & Shalee Schmidt and Mary Dupaix) and singing in a Mozart Opera and a Gilbert & Sullivan Operetta. These were my first experiences with: being on stage, singing in a production, dancing, acting, costumes, stage make-up, and performing with a professional company. I sing Bari-Tenor (somewhere inbetween the ranges of Baritone and 2nd Tenor), and my range is roughly 2 octaves: Low G to High G (but this will change depending on the time of day). I'm currently learning songs from the musical styles of: Broadway, Art Songs, & Opera. The pictures are Me in my 2 costumes (Act I on the left and Act II on the right) for The Gondoliers by: The Utah Light Opera Company. They were taken backstage of the Rose Wagner Theater.
